BIOGRAPHY
Benjamin Briones Grandi is a Chilean photographer and visual artist. He was born in 1985, in Santiago, Chile, where he also currently lives. A particularly contemplative outlook of the natural world, a powerful use of graphical elements, and a symbolic interpretation of nature has brought him rapid exposure in the photographic scene.
Benjamin is currently working on his series inspired by both the concept of the interior dwellings exposed by Teresa of Ávila, and the mechanisms used by the human brain to integrate memories, dream, and overcome traumas.
These are composite photographs that mimic memories and dreams, in which each image is constructed from several photographs, playing with perspective, time and colors. Each image is made out of pieces from real places, put together using imagination and dreams. A rather healing combination.
